Overview

There are bungalows, and then there are statements. This is the latter.

I had the opportunity to walk through this fully furnished bungalow inside Tropicana Golf & Country Resort recently, and it's one of those properties that genuinely stops you mid-sentence. At 19,000 sqft of built-up across three storeys and a rooftop, this is not a home you outgrow — it's a home you grow into.

Before I even stepped inside, the exterior set the tone. The façade is a confident blend of architectural styles — a modern louvred block sits elevated above the entrance, finished in charcoal and warm stone cladding that catches the afternoon light beautifully. The driveway is wide and stamped in a deep red oxide (i think) concrete that gives it a distinctive, almost resort-lobby quality. A covered garage sits to the right, practical without being an afterthought. Palm trees frame the entrance naturally. This is a home that photographs well from every angle — and it did, given it earned a feature in Haven Magazine.

Walk through the main door and the ground floor reveals itself slowly. The centrepiece is a double-volume living hall that must be experienced rather than described. Shot from the upper landing, the scale of it is almost architectural in its own right — a sculptural cluster chandelier hangs in the void, over a pair of cream sofas arranged on a Persian rug around a glass coffee table. The entire back wall is floor-to-ceiling glass, opening directly out to the pool deck and the golf course beyond. On a clear day, that view runs uninterrupted into the treeline. It is exactly the kind of living room that makes guests go quiet when they first walk in.

Step through those glass panels and you're on the pool deck. The infinity pool is framed by terracotta mosaic tiles and edged toward the greenery below — a sculptural ceramic urn sits at the vanishing edge, almost like punctuation. The adjoining covered pavilion is fitted with bamboo roller blinds and is clearly designed for long evenings: dark timber beams overhead, room for a full outdoor dining arrangement, a cross-breeze from the elevated position. The golf course stretches out beyond the pool's edge, green and unhurried. It is the kind of outdoor space you find yourself returning to without a reason.

Back inside, the kitchen is a room that serious cooks will immediately appreciate. It wraps around a large island unit in a U-shape — warm honey-yellow cabinetry on three sides, dark granite worktops, a full-height stainless steel extractor hood mounted centrally above the island's induction cooktop. A Beko fridge anchors one corner. There's a ceiling fan running above for that classic tropical kitchen feeling, and the windows on two sides keep the space airy throughout the day. Bar stools line the island — this is a kitchen designed equally for cooking and conversation.

Going down, the games room sits adjacent to a secondary bar-style wet area on the lower ground floor — a full-sized billiard table occupies the centre, timber floors throughout, with generous natural light from landscaped garden windows. It flows naturally into the bar area behind, making this zone feel like an entertainment floor unto itself.

One of the rooms on the lower ground has been converted into a home gym with a treadmill, exercise bike, and a study counter with bar stools — a smart dual-purpose configuration. Full-height curtains and wide windows bring in the garden view, and the warm timber flooring ties it back to the rest of the upper level.

Oh and did i not mention, the huge utility area and cellar store was just jaw dropping. Many wouldn’t even consider building such spaces but it is indeed very practical. The private office has a view of the internal garden, to bring in some greenery and peace during your hard work.

Upstairs to the first floor, the master bedroom suite is where the real indulgence lives. The walk-in wardrobe is a room in itself — a long corridor lined on both sides with full-height dark walnut shelving units, hanging rails, drawer banks, and track lighting above. Hardwood floors underfoot. A plantation shutter window at the far end gives it natural light. This is the kind of wardrobe that makes you want to own more things.

The AV room deserves its own paragraph. It's a proper home cinema setup: acoustic panelling on the walls, a ceiling-mounted projector aimed at the dark projection wall, surround sound speakers, and a tiered arrangement of Rozel leather recliners — the kind of seats with individual armrests and cup holders. A pair of swivel lounge chairs flank the sides, and the whole room is carpeted in warm timber flooring. There's even a glazed door opening out to the garden side, so you can step out for air between films. Landscaped with artificial turf, potted tropical plants, stone-clad pillars, and a pergola seating area, the rooftop looks out over the surrounding neighbourhood and — on a clear day — toward the city skyline in the distance. It's the kind of rooftop you put furniture on and forget to come back inside from.

If you are looking at this property, you are not buying square footage. You are buying a lifestyle that very few addresses in the Klang Valley can credibly offer.
